You will establish Sequen's Field Engineering function from the ground up, growing a team of technical experts who support complex enterprise evaluations. This leadership position requires defining demo motions, proof-of-value frameworks, and qualification standards while serving as the primary technical authority for strategic accounts.
The role bridges the gap between field operations, product, and machine learning teams. You will translate customer feedback into roadmap improvements and establish metrics to drive technical win rates, directly influencing the company's go-to-market strategy alongside founding leaders.
What you'll do
- Hire, coach, and grow a team of 4–5 Field Engineers
- Define demo motions, POC frameworks, and qualification standards
- Partner with sales leadership on eight-figure enterprise cycles
- Serve as technical authority on strategic complex evaluations
- Create feedback loops between field insights and product roadmap
- Establish metrics and forecasting for technical win rates
- Shape the technical half of the go-to-market strategy
What you'll need
- 8–12+ years in pre-sales or solutions engineering
- At least 4 years leading Field or Sales Engineering teams
- Experience scaling a technical pre-sales function
- Background in infrastructure, ML/AI, or data platforms
- Track record of winning seven- and eight-figure deals
- Strong communication skills for CPOs and engineers
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable technical experience

- Depth in recommendation or search systems
- History of scaling teams through rapid growth
