You will head the engineering function for a B2C platform serving over 130 million users globally. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will design organizational structures, manage engineering managers, and establish AI-driven development standards across iOS, Android, and backend systems.
What you'll do
- Own delivery speed and quality for Mobile, QA, and Backend teams
- Design organizational structure and hire engineering managers
- Scale AI implementation in development using tools like Claude Code
- Define engineering standards including code review and release processes
- Translate business goals into engineering execution with C-level partners
What you'll need
- 8–12+ years of engineering experience with 4–6+ in management
- Proven track record of managing managers and scaling organizations
- Strong technical background to challenge architectural decisions
- Experience with full-cycle iOS/Android development and subscriptions
- Expertise in distributed systems, API design, and backend reliability
- Experience building QA automation and release governance
- Familiarity with delivery metrics such as DORA
Nice to have
- Background in subscription or consumer app businesses
- Experience with AI infrastructure like MCP servers or n8n
- Work history in app holdings, product studios, or venture builders
