Join the AI Platform team at MeridianLink to develop the shared runtime for AI agents used by credit unions and lenders. You will engineer the tracing, evaluation, and explanation capabilities that allow engineers and end-users to understand agent decisions and ensure safe, isolated operations.
What you'll do
- Build tracing across gateway, orchestration, and memory layers
- Correlate actions across multi-agent workflows into readable traces
- Create developer-facing views for full agent conversation history
- Transform trace data into human-readable explanations of agent logic
- Develop platform primitives for customer-facing trust metadata
- Integrate and extend open-source observability and evaluation frameworks
- Build red-team test suites for prompt injection and jailbreaks
- Automate tests to prove tenant isolation and prevent data leaks
What you'll need
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python with production experience
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, RAG pipelines, or agent frameworks
- Experience with distributed tracing or observability tooling
- Strong automated testing instincts for non-deterministic systems
- Experience running workloads on Azure or AWS
- Solid understanding of algorithms and software design fundamentals
- Active daily use of AI-assisted development tools
Nice to have
- Experience with OpenTelemetry GenAI semantic conventions
- Familiarity with Langfuse, Arize Phoenix, or LangSmith
- Contributions to open-source AI observability projects
- Experience with AWS Bedrock or Azure OpenAI services
- Background in financial services or regulated industries
- Proficiency in TypeScript
