Join Nord Security to help millions of users protect their online privacy and data. As an Application Security Engineer, you will secure iOS applications by conducting static and dynamic analysis, reviewing source code, and collaborating with development teams to implement robust security controls.
What you'll do
- Conduct security reviews of application designs, source code, and third-party libraries
- Perform vulnerability assessments using automated tools and manual testing techniques
- Execute end-to-end security assessments of iOS apps via static and dynamic analysis
- Collaborate with developers to design secure architectures and implement controls
- Develop scripts and automation tools to enhance mobile security testing processes
- Design and deliver training for security engineering awareness and adoption
- Support internal and external audits, including MASVS-aligned assessments
What you'll need
- Proven experience in mobile application security assessment with an iOS focus
- Proficiency in Swift or Objective-C and ability to read C/C++ dependencies
- Practical knowledge of OWASP MASVS and MASTG standards
- Deep understanding of the iOS security model, including sandboxing and Keychain
- Hands-on experience with Frida, Objection, MobSF, Burp Suite, and mitmproxy
- Experience bypassing client-side controls like certificate pinning and jailbreak detection
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, TLS, and traffic interception
- Familiarity with iOS reverse engineering tools such as Ghidra, IDA, or LLDB
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Android application security for cross-platform coverage
- Experience with fuzzing tools and techniques
- Community contributions such as public CVEs, bug bounties, or open-source tools
