You will design and maintain the backend services that power Generative AI, LLM, and Computer Vision models in production. Working at the intersection of backend engineering and ML infrastructure, you will build reusable platform capabilities for manufacturing and logistics environments.
The team focuses on creating distributed systems, inference layers, and orchestration tools that connect AI models to enterprise data sources. You will ensure reliability and performance while collaborating with forward-deployed engineers and product teams.
What you'll do
- Design backend services and APIs for GenAI and Computer Vision integrations
- Build model-serving pipelines, inference services, and vector stores
- Architect scalable systems for real-time and batch AI workloads
- Implement RAG systems and context pipelines for LLM applications
- Ensure reliability through logging, monitoring, testing, and CI/CD
- Collaborate with ML engineers to translate requirements into backend capabilities
- Manage model versioning, rollout, and deployment pipelines
- Produce technical documentation including architecture diagrams and runbooks
What you'll need
- 4–8+ years in backend software or ML/platform engineering
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js for API design
- Experience building production backend systems at scale
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or multimodal models
- Solid understanding of AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization
- Experience designing batch or streaming data pipelines
- Knowledge of RAG systems, vector stores, and AI memory architectures
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Nice to have
- Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or OpenCV
- Experience with MLOps tooling and model registries
- Background in event-driven systems like Kafka or gRPC
- Experience in industrial, IoT, or operational technology environments
- Previous work in startup or high-growth settings
