Join Cuesta Partners as a Data Architect to drive data capability transformations for client companies. You will design business data models, define architecture frameworks, and guide the adoption of AI-augmented development practices. The role requires balancing technical depth with strategic leadership to deliver modern cloud-native data solutions.
What you'll do
- Design business data models based on discovered processes and analysis
- Set standards for AI-augmented development and coach teams on usage
- Translate business requirements into technical design specifications
- Develop work estimates for Data Warehouse and Data Lake deliverables
- Mentor data engineers, analysts, and ML Engineers on best practices
- Define data architecture framework, standards, and principles
- Establish reference architecture patterns for system creation
- Map data flows across the organization and manage transitions
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Economics, or Statistics
- Over ten years of experience in the data analytics space
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor
- Expertise in data management layers such as Snowflake or Databricks
- Proficiency in data acquisition tools like Azure Data Factory
- Strong skills in data transformation using DBT, Python, or SQL
- Experience with visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau
- Ability to communicate complex subjects to executive leaders
Nice to have
- Previous experience working in the consulting space
- Passion for exploring and solving diverse problems
- Desire to learn and assimilate technical information quickly
