As Data Science Manager at B2Spin, you will report to the Head of Data and oversee the team's output across product, marketing, and performance verticals. You will act as the bridge between technical data work and business stakeholders, ensuring high-quality modeling and experimentation while hiring and coaching data scientists.
What you'll do
- Partner with the Head of Data to shape the roadmap and prioritize team output
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear priorities and manage expectations
- Review modeling approaches, experimental design, and causal inference work
- Hire, coach, and conduct performance reviews for data scientists
- Champion rigorous A/B testing and quasi-experimental methods
- Communicate trade-offs and results to non-technical audiences
What you'll need
- Hands-on background delivering models or analyses used by other teams
- Depth in Recommendation Systems, Causal Inference, or similar domains
- Strong command of statistical methods and machine learning techniques
- Experience leading others as a tech lead, mentor, or interviewer
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Ability to give precise technical feedback and represent the team
Nice to have
- Prior formal people-management experience
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms
- Product-focused experience in data science
