As the most senior dedicated product leader, you will manage responsibilities across Prefect OSS, Prefect Cloud, and FastMCP. You will join as a team of one within an engineering-led organization, building discovery processes and ensuring our products function as a coherent portfolio.
Your work involves aligning roadmaps with company vision, defining success metrics, and coaching engineers to frame problems effectively. You will drive decisions for shared surfaces like authentication and billing while fostering a culture of evidence-based product development.
What you'll do
- Drive product decisions for shared surfaces like auth and billing
- Align individual product roadmaps with the overall company vision
- Build and standardize product discovery and validation practices
- Coach engineers on problem framing and user conversation techniques
- Define success metrics and lead post-launch validation efforts
- Ensure customer evidence grounds future build decisions
What you'll need
- 10+ years in product with leadership experience
- Proven ability to ship through influence without direct authority
- Experience in startups or engineering-led organizations
- Background in multi-product portfolios or post-acquisition integration
- Deep knowledge of modern data stack or developer tools
- Track record of improving product skills in others
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with agentic systems
- Familiarity with MCP ecosystem
