Skydropx is transforming logistics in Latin America through a multicultural and ambitious team. This Engineering Manager role involves leading technical teams to deliver scalable services while ensuring code quality and system stability.
You will guide architecture decisions, manage release flows, and mentor Tech Leads. The position requires strong self-management skills and the ability to resolve complex technical challenges in a high-scale environment.
What you'll do
- Ensure teams meet roadmap commitments with accurate effort estimates
- Code review and development for high-risk features and migrations
- Resolve complex technical issues and prevent recurrence via tests
- Provide architectural direction and maintain code best practices
- Own production stability including triage and security remediation
- Manage release pipelines from sandbox to production without incidents
- Mentor Tech Leads and conduct performance feedback sessions
- Participate in technical interviews and candidate review committees
What you'll need
- Advanced conversational Spanish is mandatory
- Over six years of experience with Ruby on Rails and .NET
- Knowledge of PM2, Domain Driven Design, and Clean Architecture
- Experience in event-driven development methodologies
- Strong critical, logical, and mathematical reasoning skills
- Excellent organizational and self-management capabilities
- Must possess own computer equipment for work
Nice to have
- Previous experience working with Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with Kafka or Pub/Sub messaging systems
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization
- Knowledge of common algorithms and data structures
