Join Horizon3, a remote cybersecurity firm empowering organizations to proactively identify and fix vulnerabilities. As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Federal team, you will contribute to the NodeZero platform, enhancing stability and launching user-facing features. You will work with former Special Operations cyber operators and engineers to solve complex security challenges in federally compliant environments.
What you'll do
- Develop core product features using ETL processes and GraphQL
- Design and implement backend APIs for data interactions
- Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines for analytics
- Collaborate with frontend teams to enhance user experience
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to support growth
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Go, Scala, C++, or TypeScript
- Expert proficiency in SQL
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and container technologies
- Knowledge of FedRAMP, IL4/5/6, or Classified workloads
- Eligibility for US Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
Nice to have
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Neo4j databases
- Background in building GraphQL backends
- Experience managing production infrastructure
- Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools
