Join the Growth & MSSP team at Horizon3 to engineer the systems that govern customer access, purchasing, and administration on the NodeZero platform. You will design backend services for licensing, provisioning, and MSP capabilities, ensuring correctness and trust across a complex commercial model.
As a senior individual contributor, you will lead through technical judgment and system design, balancing feature delivery with long-term platform health. Your work directly shapes how customers and service providers experience the product daily.
What you'll do
- Design backend services for licensing, entitlements, and feature access rules
- Build automated provisioning and onboarding workflows for new customers
- Develop infrastructure for admin experiences, including RBAC and account hierarchies
- Implement MSP/MSSP capabilities for asset allocation and sub-client management
- Create audit logging systems for administrative and usage actions
- Build a notifications platform for alerts, warnings, and product announcements
- Operate services in production with monitoring, runbooks, and incident response
- Collaborate with adjacent teams to ensure consistent data exposure rules
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with modern languages
- Proficiency in Python, Go, TypeScript, Java, Scala, or C++
- Experience building production apps on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for compliance-critical systems
- Ability to manage concurrent initiatives and prioritize effectively
- Excellent technical documentation and communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms and tenant isolation
- Knowledge of RBAC, authorization, authentication, or SSO systems
- Background in licensing, subscription, or billing-adjacent systems
- Experience designing audit log or event history systems
- Familiarity with auto-provisioning and feature flag patterns
- Experience building admin consoles or self-service workflows
- Expert proficiency in SQL and PostgreSQL architectures
- Production reliability experience with observability tooling
