As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Span, you will bridge the gap between product, engineering, and customer success. You will embed with engineering leaders at top-tier organizations to map workflows and deliver measurable improvements in developer productivity.
You will own technical delivery from prototype to production, writing code when necessary and translating field insights into reusable product patterns. This role demands a balance of technical depth, strategic thinking, and clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Own technical delivery for multiple customer deployments from prototype to scale
- Embed with customer teams to understand workflows and build tailored solutions
- Write production-grade code in TypeScript, Python, and data pipelines as needed
- Translate customer feedback into product requirements and reusable patterns
- Influence roadmap priorities based on real-world deployment learnings
What you'll need
- 3+ years of engineering experience building full-stack products or integrations
- Proficiency in producing production-quality code with TypeScript/JavaScript and Python
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and LLM integrations
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and make pragmatic trade-offs
- Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with US-based customers and teams
