Actai is building proactive, AI-native applications for email, notes, and tasks that require minimal prompting. As an iOS Software Engineer, you will own the client experience, ensuring AI interactions feel responsive and trustworthy. You will work in a small, high-density team focused on shipping quality products rapidly.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain production-grade iOS apps with Swift and SwiftUI
- Integrate AI-powered features via backend APIs
- Design UX patterns for streaming responses and loading states
- Optimize app performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency
- Capture user signals to support AI evaluation and iteration
- Collaborate with backend and ML engineers on API design
- Ensure high App Store quality and production reliability
What you'll need
- 3+ years of iOS development experience using Swift
- Hands-on experience integrating AI features into mobile apps
- Strong understanding of async/await and concurrency
- Solid skills in iOS performance and memory optimization
- Experience shipping and maintaining production iOS apps
- Comfort designing for latency and non-deterministic AI behavior
- Strong intuition for AI UX patterns and user trust
Nice to have
- Exposure to CoreML or light on-device ML
- Familiarity with feature flags or remote configuration systems
