Join Lightning Labs as a Senior Platform Engineer focused on improving the developer experience through robust infrastructure management. You will handle cloud technologies, cluster operations, and backend services while supporting development teams with integrations and platform security.
What you'll do
- Manage cloud and cluster technologies for the internal platform
- Operate stateful backend services including databases and Bitcoin nodes
- Utilize and extend observability tools for logging, monitoring, and tracing
- Enhance platform robustness and security via operators and overlay networks
- Assist development teams with Helm charts and cloud resource integrations
What you'll need
- Strong foundation in Linux, networking, security, cloud, and IaC
- Experience managing and troubleshooting production Kubernetes clusters
- Proficiency in operating and extending observability tooling
- Competence in a systems programming language like Go, Python, or Rust
Nice to have
- Knowledge of advanced cloud tech like GitOps, DevSecOps, or service mesh
- Database administration experience with PostgreSQL or etcd
- Familiarity with Bitcoin and Lightning Network concepts
- History of contributing to open source projects
