Join the Platform Infrastructure Engineering team to build and operate Menlo Security's core infrastructure platform. You will work with experienced engineers to manage a sophisticated cloud-native environment, ensuring security-first design and multi-tenancy for global services.
The team utilizes Google Kubernetes Engine, VMs, and Infrastructure as Code to support development through production. Your work will enable customers to connect securely while maintaining high availability and performance across all environments.
What you'll do
- Architect and govern high-scale, multi-region VM and Kubernetes infrastructure on GCP and AWS
- Drive technical alignment with Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Security teams
- Define and enforce best practices for Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Spacelift
- Design complex configuration management and deployment workflows for reliability
- Implement comprehensive observability solutions using Grafana Cloud, Prometheus, and OTel
- Manage core platform services including DNS automation, ingress controllers, and service mesh
- Lead strategic efforts to eliminate technical toil through automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor junior and senior engineers and provide deep technical guidance
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and drive post-incident reviews
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Go programming languages
- Strong understanding of network topologies and protocols like TCP/IP and TLS
- Expertise in Kubernetes cluster administration, RBAC, and troubleshooting
- Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
- Knowledge of GCP services including GKE, VPC, Cloud DNS, and IAM
- Experience mentoring other engineers at various levels
- Familiarity with GitOps methodologies and tools
- Understanding of how to use LLM code assist tools effectively
