Join Prophet Security to shape the future of security operations with an AI-driven platform. As a Principal Product Manager, you will define product strategy, write clear requirements, and partner closely with engineering to deliver solutions that reduce alert fatigue and automate response.
You will own meaningful pieces of the product, answering complex questions about agent capabilities and customer trust. The role requires strong judgment, technical depth, and the ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment without established playbooks.
What you'll do
- Define and sequence the product roadmap, distinguishing committed work from aspirational goals
- Write clear PRDs that allow engineering to estimate and build without excessive meetings
- Partner daily with engineering leads on scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs to drive delivery
- Engage with customers and prospects to understand SOC workflows and prioritize features
- Design for transparency and control to build trust with security teams
- Manage enablement, launch, competitive analysis, and post-launch usage monitoring
- Define success metrics before building and verify outcomes after shipping
What you'll need
- Proven track record of owning products end-to-end and shipping on a fast cadence
- Strong judgment under ambiguity with a bias toward making decisions and moving forward
- Deep understanding of security operations or proven ability to learn the domain quickly
- Experience working directly with technical buyers and practitioners
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for creating team artifacts
- Technical enough to read design docs and discuss risks with engineers effectively
- High sense of urgency and personal ownership over product outcomes
