Join a small, mission-driven team building Post.News, a social platform focused on civil conversations and real news. As a Principal Engineer, you will design and maintain high-performance backend infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems
- Collaborate with teams to prioritize and implement features
- Take ownership of development from start to finish
- Drive technical innovation and process improvements
- Work alongside a small, scrappy team
What you'll need
- 10+ years of backend development experience
- Proven track record with high-performance scalable systems
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience with Solid.js and Solid Start SSR
- Proficiency with Postgres, Redshift, Redis, and Dynamo
- Familiarity with AWS Serverless Architecture
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have
- Previous start-up experience
- Background in social applications
- Enterprise Social Networking experience
