As a Product Design Manager at Weave, you will guide a team of product designers while acting as a strategic partner to Product and Engineering. You will drive experience vision, ensure design quality, and foster professional growth within a lean, agile environment focused on healthcare practice efficiency.
What you'll do
- Partner with Product and Engineering to define strategy and roadmaps
- Lead experience vision and advocate for user needs across products
- Identify cross-boundary UX opportunities for holistic platform solutions
- Coach designers to operate upstream and shape priorities proactively
- Direct design reviews to ensure craft quality and strategic alignment
- Mentor and support designers to grow their craft and impact
- Hire top talent and manage performance to align with organizational goals
- Organize strategic user research to validate opportunities and assumptions
What you'll need
- 2+ years of formal design management experience
- Or 4+ years of equivalent team leadership as a Lead IC
- 5+ years of hands-on product design experience in software
- Track record of co-leading strategy with Engineering and Product
- Mastery in driving adaptable UX strategies and design systems
- Experience guiding and inspiring distributed remote teams
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and emerging technologies like AI
