As a Security Architect at BJAK, you will define security architecture across products, applications, and cloud platforms. You will partner with Engineering, Product, and Compliance teams to build secure systems that meet regulatory requirements in Southeast Asia.
You will lead threat modeling, design reviews, and the implementation of security controls for AWS and GCP environments. Your work ensures that BJAK’s mobile-first insurance and financial services remain secure and compliant.
What you'll do
- Define security architecture, patterns, and standards for APIs and cloud environments
- Own architecture implementation aligned with SC TRM and BNM RMiT regulations
- Lead threat modeling and security design reviews for new products and integrations
- Design controls for IAM, network security, encryption, and threat detection
- Review web, mobile, and AI-enabled architectures for security and privacy risks
- Guide secure architecture for TypeScript, Python, Swift, and Kotlin applications
- Evaluate security technologies and track remediation of architecture risks
What you'll need
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in security engineering, architecture, or related security roles
- Experience implementing SC TRM and BNM RMiT requirements and audit remediation
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, networking, and distributed systems
- Hands-on familiarity with AWS, GCP, and modern application stacks
- Experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, and frameworks like ISO 27001
- Ability to translate technical risks into actionable plans for stakeholders
- Strong English communication skills for global team collaboration
