You will build the AI operating layer behind the platform, turning ambiguous business problems into dependable production systems. This role requires owning the complete lifecycle from investigation to deployment, ensuring every shipped system compounds leverage through reusable software and automation.
What you'll do
- Identify high-value product problems by collaborating with users and business owners
- Design and ship customer-facing AI features and internal automations
- Build agents that safely interact with tools, APIs, databases, and communication channels
- Create context layers including instructions, retrieval, memory, and structured outputs
- Implement reliable event-driven automation with retries, idempotency, and fallbacks
- Develop evaluation datasets and automated checks for accuracy, latency, and cost
- Investigate production failures to improve the entire system beyond just prompts
- Convert successful solutions into reusable components for future business niches
What you'll need
- Proven track record shipping production software in SaaS or marketplace environments
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript with solid backend fundamentals
- Hands-on experience shipping LLM features using model APIs and agentic workflows
- Experience with production automation including webhooks, queues, and monitoring
- Practical skills in evaluating AI systems using test sets and regression checks
- Daily fluency with AI coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor
- C1+ English proficiency for clear communication with US-based stakeholders
- Ability to own architecture, quality, security, and business outcomes independently
Nice to have
- Experience with Voice AI, call transcription, telephony, or CRM automation
- Background in lead generation, marketplaces, real estate, or sales technology
- Knowledge of ranking, scoring, prediction, experimentation, or data pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud deployment, Docker, CI/CD, and observability tools
- Experience with MCP, vector search, LangGraph, Temporal, or n8n
- Track record of taking products from zero to one in fast-moving startups
