Join Eight Sleep as a Senior Software Engineer to expand product features and system scalability. You will work on distributed back-end systems that bridge embedded devices, machine learning models, and business intelligence tools. The team focuses on designing robust infrastructure that directly impacts the member experience through data-driven sleep recovery.
What you'll do
- Maintain integrity of data processing pipeline handling 5TB daily
- Develop tools to guarantee availability of ~30 microservices
- Automate operations for backend services
- Contribute to development of back-end services and product features
- Design and support distributed systems architecture
What you'll need
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years as a backend engineer or SRE
- Advanced experience with at least two specified languages
- Proficiency in Java, Scala, Kotlin, C#, F#, Python, or NodeJS+TypeScript
- Experience building and managing distributed systems
- Deep understanding of cloud services
