Scribe is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own product areas end-to-end, from design to post-launch results. You will join one of four teams—Agents, Docs, Growth, or Optimize—to build and scale backend services that support millions of users and major enterprise clients.
What you'll do
- Build and ship backend features in the Django monolith
- Optimize services, database queries, and caching layers
- Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams
- Balance short-term delivery with long-term architecture
- Maintain code quality through reviews and testing
What you'll need
- 5+ years of backend experience at high scale
- Extensive experience with Python
- Proven track record in performance optimization
- Strong advocate for automated testing
- Experience implementing engineering best practices

- Experience with Django framework
