Join the Fields squad at ClickUp to engineer the core systems behind custom task data, dynamic schemas, and high-volume updates. You will design robust APIs and distributed services that handle millions of daily requests with low latency.
This position requires end-to-end ownership of feature development, from initial conception to production deployment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and deliver a seamless user experience.
What you'll do
- Build features and systems with a strong focus on detail and performance
- Own the entire development lifecycle from concept to production
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver product goals
- Identify and implement improvements for existing system architecture
- Contribute to establishing a positive and high-quality engineering culture
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent major
- 5+ years of experience building performant, high-throughput systems
- Proficiency in writing high-quality code, ideally in TypeScript
- Experience writing and debugging SQL queries at scale
- Background in developing event-based distributed systems
- Familiarity with major cloud services, preferably AWS
- Ability to deliver projects with minimal direction and handle ambiguity
- Strong communication skills and a product-minded approach
