NIRA is building a consumer credit platform targeting underserved populations in Middle India, processing over 15,000 loan applications daily. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will shape the infrastructure strategy and product roadmap while collaborating with APAC and global teams to scale the platform.
What you'll do
- Partner with local and APAC engineering teams to increase platform scale
- Expand the platform to support multiple financial products and instruments
- Drive iterations on credit policy and improve credit decision systems
- Collaborate with product, compliance, finance, and analytics teams
- Own technical solutions from start to finish with a product mindset
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Java, with .NET experience considered a plus
- Proven experience in AWS-native environments
- Hands-on work with DynamoDB, Athena, and Lambda
- Demonstrated history of scaling technical solutions and platforms
- Clear communication skills for global collaboration
