Join the Cloud Scaling team to transform ClickHouse into a fully functional serverless database solution. You will collaborate with core database teams to evolve the system into a cloud-native platform, focusing on robust capabilities within the public cloud environment.
The role requires building and maintaining infrastructure for enhanced performance and scalability. You will work on in-house Kubernetes operators and metrics pipelines while partnering with data plane teams to support various infrastructure use cases.
What you'll do
- Build a cloud-native database platform on top of public cloud infrastructure
- Develop an in-house Kubernetes operator for seamless infrastructure management
- Improve metrics pipelines and build systems for better statistics generation
- Partner with core development and data plane teams on infrastructure use cases
- Architect robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience building scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Production experience with Go, C++, or Java programming languages
- Comfortable with PagerDuty on-call rotations and production debugging
- Expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure and their infrastructure as a service offerings
- Experience with data storage, ingestion, and transformation tools like Spark or Kafka
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across engineering teams
