Join the Product Metrics team to design and maintain components of a platform that stores trillions of records. You will ensure the reliability and performance of systems that process millions of events per second for billing and customer dashboards.
The role involves owning service availability and cost-efficiency while collaborating with a distributed engineering team. You will help shape the technical roadmap and mentor colleagues in a fast-paced startup environment.
What you'll do
- Determine the technical roadmap for the Product Metrics team
- Design and build business-critical petabyte-scale systems
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency
- Mentor team members and participate in design discussions
- Participate in on-call rotation for owned services
- Iterate on features based on data and user feedback
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of experience with distributed systems
- Minimum 2 years of software development using Golang
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud providers
- Proficiency in handling large data volumes with ClickHouse
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Temporal
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
- Strong production debugging and problem-solving skills
Nice to have
- Direct experience with ClickHouse database
- Writing Kubernetes operators or controllers
- Experience with Kafka streaming technology
