You will architect and maintain secure, scalable data infrastructure on Databricks for both streaming and batch workloads. Working with analysts and engineers, you will turn raw data from internal systems and blockchain sources into strategic assets through robust pipelines and dimensional models.
What you'll do
- Architect and maintain scalable data infrastructure on Databricks
- Develop Python and Spark pipelines for ingestion and transformation
- Design dimensional data models and transformation layers in dbt
- Manage data lake storage, partitioning, and quality monitoring
- Integrate diverse sources including APIs and blockchain data
- Optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Implement governance, security, and access control best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders and document infrastructure standards
What you'll need
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering with production pipelines
- Strong practical experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, and Spark
- Solid understanding of dimensional modelling and warehouse design
- Experience with dbt or equivalent transformation frameworks
- Strong cloud fundamentals in identity, storage, and networking
- Proficiency in writing production-grade Python and SQL code
- Experience implementing testing and governance in cloud environments
Nice to have
- Experience with change data capture and database replication
- Familiarity with blockchain or on-chain data structures
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform
- Experience with BI tools like Holistics or Looker
- Skills in containerisation and orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes
