As the founding engineer of the Data Intelligence team, you will construct the nervous system for Deepgram’s internal AI agents. You will move beyond traditional dashboards to develop dbt models and tools that enable agents to query data, correlate churn signals, and identify latency issues autonomously.
What you'll do
- Architect high-fidelity dbt and SQL models for usage-based revenue metrics
- Develop tooling and permissions for Analyst Agents to query Athena and Salesforce
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure data contracts are reliable and agent-ready
- Ingest internal call audio using Deepgram models to create queryable GTM insights
- Automate repetitive SQL tasks by implementing code-based solutions and agents
What you'll need
- Five or more years in high-growth Data or AI Engineering roles
- Production-grade mastery of SQL and Python
- Proven experience building RAG or Agentic systems on structured data
- Familiarity with API-first business metrics like consumption and NRR
- Ability to transform messy, siloed data into clear business logic
Nice to have
- Previous background as a Software or Data Engineer
- Experience with real-time billing and consumption systems
- Contributions to open-source data or AI projects
