You will lead a team of five or more engineers responsible for the core infrastructure powering Valon’s products. Your focus will be on ensuring scalability, security, and reliability across compute, databases, storage, and networking systems.
This hands-on leadership role requires balancing technical strategy with people management. You will guide architecture decisions, contribute code when necessary, and foster a culture of continuous development and high accountability.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of 5+ engineers focused on infrastructure and platform tooling
- Own technical strategy for scalability, reliability, and security initiatives
- Guide architecture decisions and write code as a hands-on contributor
- Collaborate with product and operations to unlock innovation
- Establish engineering processes for continuous improvement and quality
- Recruit and develop talent through coaching and 360-degree feedback
- Promote a high-agency culture with clear communication
What you'll need
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- 1+ year in a tech lead or engineering management role
- Experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps
- Strong understanding of backend and infrastructure layer interactions
- Track record of leading teams in high-growth environments
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Ability to translate business problems into scalable technical solutions
