Join Prompt, a startup providing automated B2B software to rehab therapy businesses. You will lead AI initiatives in speech processing and natural language understanding, building reliable systems for clinical documentation and patient care. The team focuses on applying generative AI to real-world healthcare workflows where accuracy and speed are critical.
What you'll do
- Lead AI projects from ideation through architecture to production deployment
- Develop real-time AI systems for transcription, summarization, and classification
- Build robust model and prompt pipelines for LLM-powered workflows
- Partner with Product and Engineering to identify high-leverage AI opportunities
- Help develop the strategic AI roadmap across speech and NLP domains
- Apply AI to improve clinical documentation, support, and billing operations
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to team growth
What you'll need
- 4+ years of experience building AI/ML systems with production ownership
- Strong background in NLP and LLM systems like retrieval and agent workflows
- Experience with speech pipelines such as speech-to-text in near-real-time settings
- Track record of benchmarking and improving accuracy, cost, and latency
- Proficiency in Python 3.9+ and basic Docker usage
- Familiarity with AWS services including S3, RDS, and EC2
- Willingness to deeply understand the physical and occupational therapy sectors
- This is a heavy code contribution role, not an engineering management position
Nice to have
- Experience optimizing real-time speech processing for latency and stability
- Knowledge of modern STT and TTS engines and voice pipeline integration
- Background in designing and optimizing IVR applications
- Experience with CPaaS platforms like Twilio for telephony workflows
- Familiarity with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL
- Experience building ML evaluation pipelines and quality systems
- Background in healthcare software or large-scale workflow orchestration
