Prompt is a startup providing automated B2B enterprise software for rehab therapy businesses. As AI becomes central to their product and operations, they seek a Senior AI Engineer to design, evaluate, and monitor end-to-end AI systems. This high-ownership role involves partnering with stakeholders to build internal tools and product-facing AI features that improve efficiency and decision-making across the company.
What you'll do
- Lead AI projects from ideation through architecture to production and iteration
- Design and deploy end-to-end AI systems using traditional ML and LLM workflows
- Partner with stakeholders to define success criteria and deliver practical solutions
- Implement evaluation, monitoring, and observability metrics for accuracy and cost
- Build guardrails for LLM pipelines, including validation and human-in-the-loop workflows
- Develop rapid proofs-of-concept and harden them into reliable production systems
- Help grow the AI team by training and developing junior members
What you'll need
- 4+ years of experience building AI/ML systems with production ownership
- Strong experience operating AI systems end-to-end, not just isolated models
- Expertise in LLM-based systems, including prompting, RAG, and structured outputs
- Solid understanding of offline metrics, online monitoring, and cost tracking
- Ability to translate non-technical workflows into effective AI solutions
- Strong software engineering fundamentals for shipping maintainable systems
- Proficiency in Python (>3.9) and basic Docker knowledge
- Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, RDS, and EC2
Nice to have
- Experience building internal AI tools used across multiple business functions
- Knowledge of evaluation harnesses like golden datasets and regression tests
- Experience setting up analytics dashboards to track AI usage and ROI
- Familiarity with workflow automation, CRMs, and support tools
- Experience with FastAPI, Streamlit, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, or PostgreSQL
- Background in retrieval systems, vector search, or grounding strategies
- Experience building healthcare software or data processing pipelines
