TELUS Digital seeks a Senior Manager to lead solution architecture efforts during both pre-sales and implementation stages. You will leverage technical expertise to design, plan, and launch new projects while supporting ongoing client initiatives.
The role requires balancing client-facing architectural leadership with internal team support. You will act as a traveling catalyst for existing projects and deepen your expertise in chosen technology verticals during quieter periods.
What you'll do
- Lead scope definition and technical design during pre-sales processes
- Present engineering capabilities to potential clients and partners
- Drive technical architecture and discovery projects for new initiatives
- Refine product and technical architecture using consulting methods
- Own a technology vertical including solution design and platform selection
- Support existing project teams with architectural guidance as needed
- Dedicate time to training and deepening expertise in specific technologies
What you'll need
- Multi-platform familiarity with expertise in frontend or backend stacks
- Experience delivering software in an agency or client-service environment
- Background in commercial discussions involving budgets and fees
- Skilled in software estimation, work planning, and project scheduling
- Ability to explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with rapid iteration and refining product visions with clients
Nice to have
- Experience with CCaaS technologies like Amazon Connect or Zendesk
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Familiarity with cloud AI/ML services like AWS Bedrock or Azure ML
- Understanding of MLOps principles and CI/CD tools for ML models
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
