You will own the product strategy for fraud and identity authentication, combining these domains under one roadmap. The role requires close collaboration with engineering teams to refine detection signals and with legal teams to ensure KYC and AML compliance. You will act as incident commander during fraud events and drive decisions that balance security with customer experience.
What you'll do
- Define product strategy for fraud prevention, detection, and response
- Prioritize joint roadmap for fraud and identity authentication features
- Collaborate with engineers on scoring logic and data schema analysis
- Write decision documents with clear recommendations for shipping work
- Act as incident commander coordinating cross-functional fraud responses
- Instrument metrics for detection accuracy and customer friction
- Partner with Legal and GRC teams on KYC and AML compliance surfaces
What you'll need
- Owned fraud, risk, or identity product at fintech or marketplace company
- Understand tradeoffs between precision, recall, and friction budgets
- Comfortable working directly with engineers on technical implementation
- Experience leading incident response and operational orchestration
- Proven experience using AI to improve fraud lifecycle automation
- Track record of writing decision docs that result in shipped products
- Strong written communication skills for remote-first culture
Nice to have
- Hold CPA, CFA, or Certified Fraud Examiner certifications
- Experience with payroll, payments, or money movement systems
- Knowledge of KYC/AML regulations or vendor fraud patterns
- Hands-on experience with Auth0 or similar identity platforms
- Familiarity with synthetic and AI-generated identity fraud
