Kraken is seeking a Product Manager with strong interaction design skills to build social experiences around investing and trading. You will own product decisions, from defining customer problems to measuring experience improvements, while working closely with designers and engineers.
The role involves designing complete user journeys, creating interactive prototypes, and applying behavioral psychology to enhance user participation. You will ensure the social features are intuitive for both new and active users, connecting design choices to measurable business outcomes.
What you'll do
- Design end-to-end social journeys for discovering, following, and sharing trades
- Define interaction details including navigation, copy, gestures, and error states
- Build interactive prototypes to validate flows before engineering implementation
- Apply behavioral psychology to improve user participation and contribution
- Conduct usability sessions and analyze funnel data to remove friction points
- Ensure the experience is valuable for users with no existing connections
- Define success metrics and collaborate with data science on experiments
- Manage launch scope and iterate based on post-launch evidence
What you'll need
- Proven experience shipping consumer social features like feeds or messaging
- Strong interaction design craft with ability to explain flow structures
- Proficiency in building realistic interactive prototypes using Figma or code
- Ability to use user research evidence to challenge assumptions and refine designs
- Experience owning product outcomes and interpreting cohort data
- Understanding of how credibility and reputation affect financial social sharing
