Join the team behind Flipper Zero to quality assure the new BUSY Bar, a smart productivity device. You will own test strategies for complex scenarios spanning firmware, backend systems, and mobile applications to ensure seamless interaction.
What you'll do
- Design end-to-end test coverage for firmware, cloud, and mobile apps
- Test device-to-cloud communication including offline modes and OTA updates
- Verify cloud and local APIs, business logic, and error handling
- Analyze device and cloud logs to diagnose issues and anomalies
- Build test data strategies for diverse devices and user environments
- Define automation specifications and maintain regression testing processes
What you'll need
- Strong QA experience across firmware, backend APIs, and mobile apps
- Ability to analyze requirements and identify system integration points
- Hands-on testing of REST or gRPC APIs using tools like Postman
- Experience analyzing UART, syslog, Kibana, or Sentry logs
- Testing mobile apps interacting with devices via BLE or Wi-Fi
- Proficiency in Agile environments and test management tools like Jira
- English proficiency for technical documentation and team communication
Nice to have
- Experience testing IoT devices, OTA updates, and connectivity loss
- Basic Python or JavaScript skills for test utilities and log parsing
- Familiarity with Wireshark, tcpdump, or device simulators
- Experience with security testing of device-to-cloud integrations
