As a Senior Restoration Engineer at MOXFIVE, you serve as a technical first responder when organizations face catastrophic infrastructure failures. You will assess damage, determine recovery strategies, and lead the restoration of complex systems across on-premises and cloud platforms.
You will collaborate with forensics teams, security analysts, and client leadership to ensure secure and rapid business continuity. The role demands deep expertise in disaster recovery and the ability to make critical decisions under extreme pressure.
What you'll do
- Lead technical restoration efforts during ransomware and malware incidents
- Assess infrastructure damage and determine recovery versus rebuild strategies
- Orchestrate complex restoration sequences across hybrid and cloud environments
- Make real-time technical decisions to minimize business downtime
- Coordinate with forensics, legal, and insurance teams during recovery
- Guide contractors and internal IT teams through execution timelines
- Translate technical recovery status for executives and stakeholders
What you'll need
- 10+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience in enterprise environments
- Deep expertise in disaster recovery and backup technologies like Veeam or Rubrik
- Proven experience leading restoration during ransomware or major system failures
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and virtualization platforms
- Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, and on-premises architectures
- Strong understanding of multi-tier application dependencies and architecture
- Ability to work under extreme time pressure and during off-hours
- Excellent communication skills for high-stress stakeholder updates
