This position focuses on evaluating the quality of interactions with modern coding agents rather than writing production code. You will assess whether AI outputs reflect strong engineering judgment, useful reasoning, and high-quality explanations. The goal is to define what great performance looks like for tools such as Cursor and Codex.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end for quality and usefulness
  • Judge if outputs align with how a strong engineer would think and reason
  • Assess the clarity and helpfulness of explanations, not just code syntax
  • Distinguish between different levels of response quality with precision
  • Provide clear, opinionated written feedback on what worked or felt misleading
  • Help define standards for excellent interactions with AI coding tools

What you'll need

  • Senior, Staff, or Principal-level engineering experience or equivalent
  • Strong background in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python
  • Hands-on experience with OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor
  • Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows
  • Ability to evaluate code quality without executing it line by line
  • Strong written and spoken English at B2 level or above
  • Comfortable giving direct, subjective, yet rigorous feedback

Nice to have

  • Prior exposure to prompt design or evaluation workflows
  • Experience mentoring senior engineers or defining engineering standards
