Join a team dedicated to improving modern coding agents by evaluating their interactions in real-world scenarios. You will assess whether AI outputs reflect strong engineering taste, useful reasoning, and high-quality explanations.

This position requires subjective but rigorous judgment to determine if an AI's behavior aligns with how a senior developer thinks and works.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate end-to-end AI-generated coding interactions for quality and usefulness
  • Judge if outputs align with strong engineering thinking beyond mere syntax correctness
  • Assess the clarity and helpfulness of explanations and reasoning provided by models
  • Distinguish between varying levels of response quality using clear criteria
  • Provide written feedback on what worked, what failed, and what felt misleading
  • Help define standards for excellent interactions with tools like Cursor and Codex

What you'll need

  • Senior, Staff, or Principal-level engineering experience or equivalent
  • Strong background in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python
  • Hands-on experience with OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor
  • Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows
  • Ability to evaluate code quality without executing it or line-by-line review
  • Strong written and spoken English (B2+) for detailed feedback and video recordings
  • Comfortable giving direct, opinionated feedback on engineering quality

Nice to have

  • Prior exposure to prompt design or evaluation workflows
  • Experience mentoring senior engineers or defining engineering standards
