Join the AI/ML Engineering team to build and operate ClickHouse's artificial intelligence products end-to-end. You will design backend inference services and APIs that connect database capabilities with modern ML systems, helping make ClickHouse the preferred platform for data scientists and agents.
What you'll do
- Design and implement AI-powered features across the full stack
- Create scalable APIs connecting database capabilities with AI inference systems
- Integrate models into production with monitoring, versioning, and observability
- Maintain integrations with broader AI/ML ecosystem standards and tools
- Build developer tools, SDKs, and documentation for AI/ML capabilities
- Participate in daytime on-call rotation with the team
What you'll need
- At least five years of software engineering experience in production
- Exposure to working directly with AI/ML technologies
- Backend development expertise in TypeScript or Python
- Strong focus on API design and service architecture
- Ability to drive features from concept to production with minimal supervision
- Effective communication skills for diverse technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience deploying AI/ML models and working with vector databases
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP AI/ML deployment services
- Understanding of database systems and data processing pipelines
- Prior experience with ClickHouse is a significant plus
