What you'll do
- Design and implement robust back-end infrastructure for the banking platform
- Drive high-visibility projects impacting financial products and customer experience
- Focus on payment processing and operational systems development
- Proactively identify and resolve issues within the product and codebase
- Collaborate effectively with other engineering teams across time zones
What you'll need
- Five or more years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Golang for backend services
- Ability to take ownership and drive engineering projects independently
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex system issues
- Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration
- Current residence in the US, UK, Spain, or Portugal
Nice to have
- Conceptual familiarity with financial systems and payment processing
- Experience or strong interest in systems programming, particularly Rust
- Proficiency with LLMs and effective prompting techniques
- Prior experience in fintech or regulated financial institutions
- Knowledge of accounting principles or accounting systems
