Join Loancrate to engineer the systems that allow product teams to ship features rapidly without compromising on security or scale. You will design self-serve platforms, manage infrastructure as code, and pioneer tooling for AI-first software engineering workflows.
The team aims to automate mortgage origination using modern technology, replacing legacy systems. You will work on critical infrastructure components, ensuring high availability and observability while reducing operational toil for the broader engineering organization.
What you'll do
- Own and evolve AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Pulumi Cloud
- Design internal developer tooling, shared SDKs, and code generation libraries
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with per-PR ephemeral environments
- Create golden paths for service setup, APIs, and event streams
- Drive reliability through SLOs, auto-scaling, and incident response
- Implement observability tooling and shared instrumentation libraries
- Enforce security best practices across IAM, secrets, and encryption
- Manage Aurora PostgreSQL performance, backups, and failover
- Participate in shared on-call rotation and architecture decisions
What you'll need
- Experience building internal platforms or developer tooling
- Strong TypeScript skills and API design expertise
- Deep AWS knowledge across compute, networking, and security
- Proficiency with Terraform and/or Pulumi for infrastructure management
- Experience designing and operating robust CI/CD systems
- Track record in building production observability stacks
- Ability to create secure, reliable defaults for engineering teams
- Experience with Aurora PostgreSQL operations at scale
- Comfort with Docker and container orchestration environments
- Strong written communication and documentation skills

- Curiosity about infrastructure demands of AI and LLM workloads
- Reliability engineering mindset with SLOs and error budgets
- Experience with policy-as-code and safe deployment patterns
