Join the Platform team at Maze, a Series B user research platform used by companies like Uber and Amazon. You will work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, reliability, and security to help engineers ship products confidently.
The role involves evolving production systems, strengthening security practices, and building automation tooling. You will partner with engineering and security teams to ensure operational excellence as the company scales globally.
What you'll do
- Build and evolve cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability and security
- Improve observability practices to help engineers debug production systems
- Partner with security teams to strengthen cloud posture and compliance
- Support vulnerability management, security testing, and audit readiness
- Create automation tooling to reduce manual work for developers
- Apply operational and security perspectives to architectural decisions
- Enhance incident response processes and post-incident learning
- Utilize AI-assisted workflows for system operations and debugging
What you'll need
- Experience operating production systems in modern cloud environments, ideally AWS
- Knowledge of SRE practices, infrastructure as code, and containerized workloads
- Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and alerting standards
- Security mindset with interest in cloud or application security
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is a plus
- Ability to automate tasks using code and at least one programming language
- Active use of modern AI tools in development and operations
- Thrives in fast-paced environments requiring ownership and pragmatism
