Join the Pro team at Payward, the parent company of Kraken, to build critical trading backend services. You will design and implement high-performance Rust services that power matching engines, market data gateways, and APIs for millions of users worldwide.
What you'll do
- Design and implement robust Rust services for trading and payments
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code for revenue-critical systems
- Collaborate on large-scale distributed systems architecture
- Translate product requirements into resilient, low-latency solutions
- Take end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries
- Mentor other engineers and help define technical culture
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience
- Experience building financial trading focused products
- Proficient in writing network services or async code in Rust
- Security-first mindset during system design
- Ability to debug issues across OS, network, and application layers
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, RPC, Kafka, and event-driven systems
- Effective collaboration with product teams on requirements
