The Reliability team at Runpod owns the availability and performance of the global AI infrastructure platform. You will partner with engineering teams to strengthen system design, enhance observability, and prevent incidents through automation and proactive reliability standards.
What you'll do
- Define and implement SLIs and SLOs for critical services
- Lead incident response and coordinate cross-team mitigation
- Conduct blameless postmortems and drive corrective actions
- Perform production readiness reviews for new features
- Design monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using Prometheus
- Build internal tooling to track reliability and reduce toil
- Automate operational workflows and deployment guardrails
- Partner with engineers to improve fault tolerance and scalability
What you'll need
- 5+ years in SRE, Reliability, or Production Engineering
- Strong expertise in Linux systems and networking
- Experience managing containerized production systems
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and failure modes
- Proven experience defining and managing SLIs/SLOs
- Leadership experience in incident response and postmortems
- Strong scripting or programming skills
- Excellent written communication abilities
Nice to have
- Experience with GPU infrastructure or AI/ML platforms
- Background in high-growth or large-scale environments
- Familiarity with GPU observability tooling
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Previous work in startup environments
