Join Air Apps as a Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain fault-tolerant systems for a global AI-driven product. You will bridge software development and operations, implementing automation and monitoring strategies to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
This position requires working from the Lisbon office, where you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. The company supports relocation efforts for candidates moving to Portugal.
What you'll do
- Design scalable, fault-tolerant systems across cloud environments
- Develop observability tools using Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
- Automate infrastructure and deployment via Terraform or CloudFormation
- Optimize system performance and incident response workflows
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures
- Maintain load balancing, failover, and disaster recovery strategies
- Improve CI/CD pipelines for faster, stable deployments
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization
- Participate in on-call rotations to address system failures
What you'll need
- 4+ years in SRE, DevOps, or System Engineering
- Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with monitoring tools like ELK, New Relic, or Datadog
- Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
- Strong Linux system administration and networking fundamentals
- Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or Go
- Knowledge of distributed systems and security best practices
