You will oversee the overall system architecture for an AI-driven platform used by millions globally. Working from the Lisbon office, you will guide engineering teams on best practices, design scalable solutions, and evaluate new technologies to align with business goals.
What you'll do
- Define and maintain overall system architecture for scalable software solutions
- Provide technical leadership on architecture, coding, and scalability best practices
- Design high-level system diagrams, data flows, and API structures
- Evaluate technologies and cloud services for performance, security, and cost
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and security in architectural decisions
- Oversee integrations including microservices, APIs, and third-party services
- Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams for smooth deployment and reliability
- Establish coding and architecture standards for maintainability
- Conduct architecture reviews and performance audits
What you'll need
- 6+ years of experience in software development and architecture
- Strong expertise in system design, cloud computing, and microservices
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Proficiency in backend technologies like Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and data pipelines
- Experience with event-driven architectures, API design, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Understanding of security best practices, identity management, and encryption
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code tools
