Join Rescale's infrastructure organization to build the Data Intelligence and Agentic AI platforms. You will work on production agents, retrieval evaluation, and data services that connect customer environments with cloud storage and compute clusters.
The role requires partnering with Product teams to define specifications and deliver meaningful platform components. You will own technical design and delivery while continuously improving the workflow based on direct product usage.
What you'll do
- Build and operate LLM-backed APIs, agents, and retrieval systems
- Develop evaluations for agent and RAG workflows to improve reliability
- Create high-throughput ingestion pipelines between cloud storage and compute
- Collaborate with Product and Design to define specs and release plans
- Work across backend services, cloud infrastructure, and occasional UI changes
- Identify improvements and drive decisions to ship frequent updates
What you'll need
- 3-5 years building backend services and distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Production experience with agentic AI, RAG, and evaluation frameworks
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go
- Experience with object storage, databases, caches, and message queues
- Effective use of AI coding agents with judgment to verify outputs
- Ability to translate ambiguous goals into architectural plans
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
