The Platform Engineering team at Mural builds the backbone of the company's development environment. You will design and maintain tools that enable engineers to test, build, and release software reliably and quickly. Your work directly impacts the productivity and quality of the entire engineering organization by removing bottlenecks and automating workflows.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain build infrastructure for a large TypeScript and NodeJS codebase
- Define and refine Continuous Integration and Delivery processes and best practices
- Identify bottlenecks and automate tasks to speed up the development pipeline
- Develop scalable platform features to ensure reliability and availability
- Support internal engineers in using platform tools effectively
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in backend, integrations, or CI/CD pipelines
- Experience building reusable components and understanding scalable architecture
- Strong communication skills with a focus on documentation and guidance
- Thorough understanding of Linux, Docker, and CI tools like Github Actions
- Experience designing, implementing, and documenting API services
- Proactive approach to troubleshooting and owning critical technical areas
Nice to have
- Understanding of NodeJS and Typescript ecosystems and build tools
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Python, Golang, Terraform, and Azure Cloud
- Experience managing stateful Kubernetes workloads in production
- Ability to design custom operators to automate platform workflows
- Experience building AI-powered capabilities for developer productivity
