Sola develops AI agents that automate enterprise workflows across industries like healthcare and finance. This role focuses on solving deterministic execution challenges on the Windows desktop, bridging legacy software and modern AI models.
You will set technical direction for the desktop controller and server-side execution, working across Windows/.NET and Linux environments. The team values generalists who can ensure reliability and observability in complex automation pipelines.
What you'll do
- Lead technical direction for desktop automation and VM platforms
- Build desktop controllers for session management and screen capture
- Operate Windows VM fleets and integrate with AI pipelines
- Switch between Windows/.NET and Linux server-side as needed
- Improve reliability and observability across the desktop platform
What you'll need
- Experience shipping production software on Windows/.NET
- Comfortable working with Win32 or COM interfaces
- Generalist mindset with strong system design instincts
- Proven track record in remote work or willingness to relocate to NY
- Ability to partner with backend and AI-focused engineers
Nice to have
- Deep knowledge of Windows accessibility APIs like UIA or MSAA
- Experience with remote desktop protocols such as VNC or RDP
- Background in deploying Windows apps or operating VM fleets at scale
- Expertise in TypeScript, Python, C#, or Kubernetes
