This position requires an expert generalist capable of integrating AI capabilities across diverse technology stacks. You will translate high-level business needs into technical implementations, ensuring seamless interoperability with microservices and data systems while maintaining scalability and reliability.
What you'll do
- Translate business problems into functional end-to-end AI solutions
- Design and maintain backend services and APIs for AI features
- Integrate foundational models like OpenAI and Claude into workflows
- Build scalable architecture for automation and data processing pipelines
- Ensure interoperability with microservices, AWS, and Snowflake
- Create experimentation frameworks for rapid test-and-learn cycles
- Collaborate with product, data science, and frontend teams
- Document system designs and integration patterns for knowledge sharing
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field
- Strong backend engineering skills with Python preferred
- Experience designing scalable distributed services and APIs
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and container orchestration
- Knowledge of AI ecosystem, foundational models, and orchestration frameworks
- Expertise in integrating third-party AI services in multi-stack environments
- Ability to prototype rapidly with a test-and-learn mindset
- Excellent communication skills for technical and business stakeholders
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, Langchain, or vector databases
- Experience with automation and backend optimization for AI
- Understanding of responsible AI principles and data privacy
- Background in building real-time or near-real-time AI applications
- Experience with Ruby or Go programming languages
